Three months after being picked up straight to series by Freeform, Marvel's New Warriors has found its cast.

This is Us actress Milana Vayntrub leading the ensemble as Doreen Green, AKA Squirrel Girl, alongside Baby Daddy grad Derek Theler as Mister Immortal.

New Warriors is being hyped as Marvel’s first foray into comedy for a live-action television series, so it should be interesting to see how hard the writers lean into that description to differentiate this from the visually darker and thematically bleaker Netflix shows.

The pair will be joined by: Jeremy Tardy (Dear White People) as Night Thrasher; Calum Worthy (Austin and Ally) as Speedball; Matthew Moy (2 Broke Girls) as Microbe and Kate Comer (The Comeback) as Debrii.

Picked up straight to series in April, New Warriors hails from Marvel Television and ABC Studios' cable arm ABC Signature. Marvel head of TV Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory executive produce alongside Biegel.
