After what’s felt like an eternity of reporting on leaks and rumors, Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Note Fan Edition, its refurbished variant of the troublesome Galaxy Note 7.

The handset has undergone a number of changes to make it less prone to exploding than its predecessor, the most significant being the inclusion of a smaller 3,200mAh battery, which has been put through the firm’s rigorous 8-point testing process.

Unlike the original Galaxy Note 7, the Galaxy Note Fan Edition ships with Bixby on board, though customers will likely be pleased to hear that there isn’t a dedicated hardware key to toggle it.

Everything else is identical to the Galaxy Note 7, meaning the handset sports a 5.7-inch display, an Exynos 8890 Octa CPU, a Mali-T880 MP12 GPU, 4GB of RAM, a 12MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.

Samsung is set to release 400,000 units of the Fan Edition in South Korea on July 7, with each expected to carry a hefty price tag of 699,600 Won ($610).

There’s currently no word on whether the Galaxy Note Fan Edition will launch in other regions.
