In a video posted to social media, Vikings Star Katheryn Winnick announced that she will be making an announcement in two weeks at San Diego Comic Con.

While the announcement itself is rather vague, fans have begun to speculate - Could Winnick be entering the DCEU, possibly as Dinah Lance/Black Canary?

The actress has expressed an interest in the role since 2013, even inspiring some pretty awesome fanart of her in the character's signature leather ensemble. Winnick actually reposted that fanart without context a few months ago, adding fuel to the speculation that she could be playing the role.

Many fans have already fully embraced the idea of Winnick as Black Canary, so a confirmation of the role would generate a lot of excitement. Warner Bros.’ presentation at SDCC takes place on July 22, so as Winnick says, it’s only two weeks until her “secret project” is revealed.
