If you thought Fast & Furious 8 was ridiculous, you might not have seen anything yet. The Fate of the Furious director F. Gary Gray has talked about the possibility of the Fast and Furious franchise traveling into outer space in future installments.


The blockbuster action franchise faces a challenge to step up its game and raise the stakes even higher for the last two movies and what better way to do that than to actually leave planet Earth and go into space? When asked about the possibility of that happening Mr Gray said..

"Outer space? Listen, I wouldn't rule anything with this franchise. When I read submarine I'm like 'OK, anything's possible'. [Laughs] You never know. I haven't read "Dom on Mars" yet but again, you just never know."

Aside from the Fast & Furious 9 release date being announced last February, very little is known about this action sequel, except that it is definitely happening. Chris Morgan, who has written all but the first two Fast & Furious movies, will likely be on board to write the script, although it hasn't been confirmed who will direct at this time.
