A brand new trailer for Thor Ragnarok was shown at Comic-Con, and Marvel Studios just posted it online for the world to see!

We get to see more of the Hulk sporting a new hairdo, and he’s in a lot of the trailer. There’s all the amazing action you’d come to expect from the heroes, and even a nice tease about what's to come.

The San Diego Comic-Con premiere of Batman and Harley Quinn, Warner Bros. officially announced a bunch of upcoming DC animated movies for 2018 and beyond.

First is Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, which leaked out earlier this month. That will be followed in the spring of 2018 by Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, the first Suicide Squad movie set within the DC Universe Original Movies’ shared universe. (2014’s Batman: Assault on Arkham featured the Suicide Squad but was set within the Arkham video game universe.)
Later in 2018 will be Death of Superman, the first part of the two-parter. Warner Bros. promises this will be much more faithful to the source material than 2007’s Superman: Doomsday, which left out a lot of fan favorite moments in order to fit within its 75-minute runtime. Part two, Reign of the Supermen, will be released in early 2019.
Are you excited about the upcoming slate of DC animated movies? Which are you looking forward to most? Let us know in the comments below!

The Teen Titans have mostly been relegated to animation, but that will soon be a thing of the past thanks to Akiva Goldsman and Geoff Johns.

San Diego Comic-Con is typically a cornucopia of announcements and teasers, and Johns decided to get in on the action with a picture of classic Titans art with the caption Oh. This also started this week...@AkivaGoldsman #Titans. Coupled with the recent casting descriptions and filming location details, it seems Titans is really getting off the ground.
The live-action Teen Titans series will be heading to DC and WB's new streaming service and features Johns, Goldsman, and Greg Berlanti as the showrunners. The show is set to start filming in Toronto on September 25th and will feature a cast that includes Nightwing, Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire.
Little is known outside of that, but Johns has always had a soft spot for the Titans, and it's fantastic to see him involved with this series. You can find the image and the show's synopsis below.
It follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.

A brand new trailer for Justice League was shown at Comic-Con, and Warner Bros. just posted it online for the world to see!

We get to see the villain Steppenwolf in action for the first time, and he’s in a lot of the trailer. There’s all the amazing action you’d come to expect from the heroes, and even a nice tease with Alfred at the end. Who do you think that could be? Superman?

Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment are developing a live-action film pitting Harley Quinn against The Joker.

This project is set within the DCEU and is addition to the Suicide Squad sequel and the in-development Gotham City Sirens which sees Margot Robbie’s Quinn in another feature directed by David Ayer.
The project is described as a spinoff and Geoff Johns is set to produce. No story details or production dates have been set as of yet, but it’s possible we learn more during the Warner Bros. panel at San Diego’s Comic-Con International tomorrow where they kick off the big day in the convention center’s Hall H.

You’d be forgiven for thinking Google’s Motion Stills app, which was first introduced to iOS last year, is already available for Android, but you’d be wrong. That’s what makes today’s news so bittersweet. The search giant’s coolest app is finally available for its mobile platform.
When Motion Stills was released, it made turning Apple’s Live Photos into looping videos and GIFs a cinch. (It’s easy to see why Apple aped the feature into iOS 11.) Now that Motion Stills is available for Android, Google says the execution is slightly different.

Googl Explains:
For this release, we redesigned our existing iOS video processing pipeline to use a streaming approach that processes each frame of a video as it is being recorded. By computing intermediate motion metadata, we are able to immediately stabilize the recording while still performing loop optimization over the full sequence. All this leads to instant results after recording—no waiting required to share your new GIF.
The Motion Stills app for Android also has a fast forward feature, allowing users to condense longer recording and change the speed of playback.

Google divulged the technical challenges in bringing Motion Stills to Android:
To make this possible, we encode videos with a denser l-frame spacing to enable efficient seeking and playback. We also employ additional optimizations in the Fast Forward mode. For instance, we apply adaptive temporal downsampling in the linear solver and long-range stabilization for smooth results over the whole sequence.
It sounds a bit like Instagram’s Hyperlapse and Boomerang apps in one. I’ve used the Motion Stills app for iOS quite a bit since it launched, and I love it for its simplicity. Without the Live Photos aspect, the experience’s charm is somewhat lost in translation over to Android, but it’s still a cool way to make GIFs.
Motion Stills is available now for Android 5.1 devices and up.

LG has released a new smartphone under the Q family, packing two displays on the front, two cameras at the back, and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU – the LG Q8.
The LG Q8 bears similarities to last year’s LG V20 given the dual screen and dual rear camera setups. Both phones are also powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor. The difference is that the Q8 has a smaller 5.2-inch screen and 3,000mAh battery, and an IP68-certified metal body.
The LG V20 was a good phone, but it wasn’t perfect. It had great audio, a dual-lens cameras ready for wide-angle photos, and a removable battery to its credit.
What the LG Q8 does isn’t much different than the V20. It’s got most of the same blood and guts as the V20, running Android Nougat 7.0 on the same Snapdragon 820.
Both feature a dual-camera system on the rear, a 1440p display the front, and a special marquee screen at the top for shortcuts and extra on-screen buttons.
It’s also more pocket friendly, with a shorter and narrower frame and a 5.2-inch display. It’s likely to be priced more favorably than the V20 as well.
Though it’s not certain the Q8 will hit those low prices, it seems likely that LG will use the Q8 to introduce the premium features of the V20 to a wider audience.

At the very end of the Legion panel at Comic-Con, show-runner Noah Hawley broke the news that he is developing a Doctor Doom film at Fox.

Not much information was given about the movie, considering that Hawley mentioned it at the very tail end of the panel, but filmgoers might best remember the character of Doctor Doom (aka Victor Von Doom) from the 2005 adaptation of Fantastic Four, where he was played by Julian McMahon. The Fox superhero movie also starred Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis as Marvel’s first family.
Doctor Doom is a scientific genius and the archnemesis of the Fantastic Four. Known for his signature look of an iron mask and a green cloak, he has a multitude of powers including sorcery, mind transferal, superhuman strength and near-indestructibility as well as energy projection and absorption.
This might be the start of a new Fantastic Four franchise but as approached via a supervillain. Fox rebooted the Fantastic Four franchise in 2015 with Josh Trank directing and Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell starring as the titular heroes and Toby Kebbell as another iteration of Doctor Doom.

A Shazam rumor from earlier this week was just confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. They say that Shazam is the next DC Comics movie that will go into production, and cameras are expected to start rolling in January or February 2018 for a targeted 2019 release.

The bad news is The Rock, who has been cast as Shazam villain Black Adam, may no longer be co-starring. Instead, The Rock will star in his own Black Adam movie.
David Sandberg, who was in talks earlier this year, is set to direct Shazam. The movie will come from New Line, Warner Bros.’ sister company.
Are you looking forward to Shazam? Who do you think should play the hero? Let me know in the comments below.

It seems like Gambit is always in theatrical flux. The movie has been in development for quite some time, and but progress on the X-Men standalone has been slow going. 20th Century Fox is currently focusing on projects like New Mutants and Dark Phoenix, but Gambit isn’t far off its mind. After all, Channing Tatum just admitted he is working on the film already.

ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis was able to snag Tatum for a brief question after the actor appeared at San Diego Comic-Con. It was there we asked if the actor was still playing Gambit, and here’s what the actor had to say: “Yeah, of course. We're working on it right now."
For fans, it is reassuring to hear that Gambit is still alive and well. Tatum has long been attached to the role of Remy LeBeau, but other members of the film’s crew have not been so lucky. Earlier this year, reports surfaced director Doug Liman had exited the film. Producer Hutch Parker recently confirmed the project was still moving along as expected, but Liman detailed the problems Gambit will face with fans shortly after he dropped out.
Fox has yet to announced a new director for Gambit, but fans are hoping to hear about a replacement soon. Limas left the project since he was unable to form a “personal connection” with the feature, so here’s to hoping the studio lands a new director who is all about the raging Cajun mutant next time around.

Clear your schedule for August 23, because it’s going to be a big one if you’re a Samsung fan. The Korean company on Thursday sent out invites for an Unpacked event, where Samsung is expected to unveil details for the Galaxy Note 8.

The invites that have gone out don’t provide any major details, but it’s clear what device Samsung is going to introduce.
Do Bigger Things
That’s the tagline for this year’s event, which features the outline of an S8-like device and Samsung’s patented S-Pen. Besides that, we only have rumors to go on, which suggest the device will feature a 6.3-inch display, dual-camera setup, and up to 6GB of RAM.
If you’re in the market to purchase a new smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8 is the one to watch out for.

It’s not enough to report back that Nickelodeon’s Rocko’s Modern Life Comic-Con panel was a hoot, so fresh off the O-Town press, the network has unveiled the first bit of footage from the anticipated revival.

Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling will reunite its original creator, Joe Murray, with the entire principal voice cast (as well as director Cosmo Segurson) for a one-off TV movie special that finds Rocko encountering the social and technological ills of 2017 (or, 2017-ish) for the first time.

The idea behind the reboot: After having been blasted into outer space with Heffer and Filburt in 1996, Rocko returns to Earth and struggles to fit into the world that the 21st century has long since accepted. Food trucks, iPhones, energy drinks, 3-D printers, and social media are all ripe for skewering by the gang.
The footage from the special — which will premiere on Nickelodeon in 2018 — made its big debut on Thursday during a panel featuring Murray, Segurson, and voice actors Carlos Alazraqui, Tom Kenny, Doug Lawrence, and Charlie Adler. Nickelodeon will follow up its Rocko panel with another TV reboot panel at Comic-Con — this one featuring the cast and creator of Hey Arnold! — on Friday.

Samsung has reportedly ordered its display-making subsidiary to start manufacturing 5.8- and 6.2-inch panels for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, confirming rumors claiming that the handsets will sport the same Infinity Displays as their predecessors.

South Korean news outlet The Bell also believes that the firm has instructed Samsung Display to manufacture a small batch of 6.3-inch Infinity Displays, which are rumored to debut on the Galaxy Note 8, to test on prototype models of the Galaxy Note 9.
According to unnamed industry sources, Samsung’s engineers are working around the clock to iron out any glitches with its on-screen optical fingerprint reader, so it can launch the coveted technology on board the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9.

Apple on Wednesday rolled out the consumer version of iOS 10.3.3, which you can download now as an over-the-air update. Simply head to Settings > General > Software Update. The download weighs in at over 100 MB.

The release notes for iOS 10.3.3 are brief:
iOS 10.3.3 includes bug fixes and improves the security of your iPhone or iPad.
While no new major features are present in the newest release, it’s still an important update for the security improvements. This is likely Apple’s last update to iOS 10 ahead of iOS 11’s arrival this fall.
Which, by the way, you can download now if you’re a public beta tester. Check out the links below to see what iOS 11 has to offer.

After an unexpected delay, Samsung on Wednesday launched Bixby Voice, a feature the company lauded as the Galaxy S8’s marquee seller earlier this year. All Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus owners in the U.S. can download the software now.
The new feature arrives months after the Galaxy S8 launched, providing users with a voice assistant capable of performing complex actions. Samsung says anything you can do with your fingers you can do using Bixby Voice.
Samsung explains:
With full voice capabilities for U.S. English, Bixby can help users get more out of their connected lives. With voice capabilities, Galaxy S8 and S8+ users can easily activate voice commands to get more done in their day – simply and efficiently. Users can ask Bixby to complete simple tasks, like turning on the flashlight or taking a selfie, or complex tasks, like “remind me to pick up milk at the grocery store,” or “find photos I took in Spain and create an album called ‘Vacation.’”
Bixby will be integrated across core Samsung apps, the Korean company said, with support for additional native and third-party apps to come. The software is designed to work seamlessly with Bixby Home and Bixby Vision, features available on the Galaxy S8 from day one.
The arrival of Bixby Voice wasn’t without its hurdles. After promising a release in June, Samsung admitted it didn’t have the data necessary to comfortably launch the feature. Then, the company said Bixby Voice was having difficulty understanding the nuance of the English language.
For many Galaxy S8 owners, Bixby Voice’s arrival finally gives them the opportunity to fully utilize the device’s dedicated Bixby button, which many have requested be changed to work with other services, such as Google Assistant.
It remains to be seen if Samsung’s new assistant was worth the wait. Early reactions from users appear to be largely positive.

Game Of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have set their follow-up series to the blockbuster fantasy drama. They will reteam with HBO for Confederate, an alt-history original drama series.

Written by Benioff and Weiss, who also will showrun, Confederate chronicles events leading to the Third American Civil War. It takes place in an alternate timeline, where the Southern states have successfully seceded from the Union, giving rise to a nation in which slavery remains legal and has evolved into a modern institution. The story follows a broad swath of characters on both sides of the Mason-Dixon Demilitarized Zone – freedom fighters, slave hunters, politicians, abolitionists, journalists, the executives of a slave-holding conglomerate, and the families of people in their thrall.
Partnering with Benioff and Weiss as executive producers and writers on the series will be Nichelle Tramble Spellman (Justified, The Good Wife) and Malcolm Spellman (Empire, the forthcoming Foxy Brown).  Carolyn Strauss (Game Of Thrones) and Bernadette Caulfield (Game Of Thrones, Big Love) will also join as executive producers.
“As the brilliant Game Of Thrones winds down to its final season, we are thrilled to be able to continue our relationship with Dan and David, knowing that any subject they take on will result in a unique and ambitious series,” said HBO programming president Casey Bloys. “Their intelligent, wry and visually stunning approach to storytelling has a way of engaging an audience and taking them on an unforgettable journey. Confederate promises to be no exception, and we are honored to be adding the talented team of Nichelle and Malcolm Spellman to the mix.”
Production on Confederate will begin following the final season of Game Of Thrones.
